Question: What does the red cog icon mean when executing tests?

Answer: The red cog error means that the test is written incorrectly. Check that a persona is assigned and that all required parameters are specified and in the correct format.

Question: Can I run tests in parallel? If so, how many?

Answer: You can run up to four executions in parallel. An execution is triggered when you click Execute Selected Test Cases. You can trigger multiple executions for the same test plan or for different test plans but only a maximum of four will run in parallel.

Question: How do I check the status of my test executions?

Answer: To check the status of your test executions, navigate to the Automated Tests tab in your test plan, and click on View Test Queue. This will show you the status of all executions across all test plans. Possible statuses are: Queued, In Progress, Failed, Cancelled, Completed, and Cancelling.

Question: How do I cancel a test execution?

Answer: To stop a test execution, navigate to the Test Queue screen by clicking on View Test Queue in the Automated Tests tab of your test plan. Next, click the Stop Test Run button in the Completed Time column to stop the test execution.

Question: I automated a manual test case but it is still appearing in the manual test tab. How do I fix this?

Answer: Changing the state of a test (automated or manual) is not automatically reflected in the test plans. Therefore, when a test is changed from manual to automated (or vice versa), that test must be manually removed from the test plan and then added back.

Question: How do I retain the test employee so that it does not get deleted by the background delete job?

Answer: To retain a test employee, change the last name of the employee from “Test” to something else. Note that by doing so, the employee will never be picked up by the delete job and will have to be deleted manually.
